Dr Rachel Bird has worked in general practice for over eight years, building a reputation for thorough, patient-centred care. Her main areas of interest are chronic disease, aged care, and preventative medicine areas where consistent, ongoing care makes the most difference to patient outcomes.
Her background also includes a strong interest in infectious diseases and travel medicine, informed by her previous work in settings where these areas were a primary focus. She brings that perspective to her general practice, helping patients navigate everything from routine health management to pre-travel planning and vaccination requirements.
Rachel is methodical and calm in her approach. She takes time to understand each patient’s situation fully before making recommendations, and she works hard to ensure her patients feel informed and in control of their own health decisions.
Outside work she is married with two children, and in her spare time she enjoys crochet and reading.
